Dropping in

Drop-ins are always welcome! The best way to get started at Athletic Playground is to come visit. Classes are beginner-friendly unless a level is specified. If you want to reserve your spot for a class in advance (which we recommend!), you can do so at MINDBODY online. When you come into the gym you'll need to fill out a paper waiver, so be sure to arrive at least 5-10 minutes early. If you are bringing someone else child, please make sure to bring a filled liability waiver signed by the child's parent with you.

Reservation Policy
We encourage you to reserve a spot online to hold your place in class, but drop-ins are always welcome. Please arrive early to ensure your spot; if you do not check in at the front desk by 5 minutes before the start time of class, your reserved spot may be given to a student on the waitlist. You can use our online reservation system to manage your schedule.
Refund and Cancellation Policy
Class, Open Play and membership fees are non-refundable. Advance reservations for classes may be cancelled online for account credit until 2 hours before the start time of class. PRIVATES/WORSHOPS/CAMPS: Refund policy: 1. 30+ days before workshop start date: 90% of paid amount or full AP credit. 2. 14-29 days before start workshop: 50% of paid amount or full AP credit 3. 13 or less days before workshop start date: No refunds. Late Policy
We cannot allow students to join a class more than 10 minutes after the start time, even if there is space in class and the student is already warm or fully capable of warming themselves up. We hope you understand that joining class on time is a safety consideration and that we cannot make exceptions to this policy.


What should I bring?
Bring a water bottle or cup with you! We encourage hydration and provide a water cooler for refills. For safety, glass containers are not allowed on our premises. If you would like to use our showers, please bring your own soap and towel with you.
What should I wear?
Classes are barefoot and are best enjoyed in comfortable work-out clothing. To use aerial equipment, participants must wear clothing that is free of buttons, snaps, and zippers, and take off jewelry, hair clips, and anything else that could snag on the aerial fabric. A shirt is required while on our premises. Please do not wear perfume or strongly scented products when you come to play with us.
Can my kids come to classes or Open Play with me?
If both you and your child are members at Athletic Playground, YES, you can come to train TOGETHER! Otherwise, adult classes and Open Play sessions are for ages 18+ only, but we do have fun options for younger monkeys too! Check out our Kids/Teens schedule. Please note that we must receive paperwork signed by a parent or legal guardian for each participant under age 18 before he/she may take a class.
Can my kids wait for me while I take a class?
We do not offer supervision for children outside of our scheduled kids' classes and do not allow unattended children to wait on our premises while their guardians are taking class.
Help, I bought drop-in classes and didn’t use them all before they expired!
We don’t want you to lose your classes, so we offer a 30 day extension on any expired classes purchased with-in the last 12 months for $15. Email the front desk if you'd like to extend the availability of your classes.
I’m an auto-pay member and need to cancel my membership. How do I give notice?
We require 30-day cancellation notice and process membership cancellations by email. Write to to give notice.
I’m an auto pay member and am going away for a while, can I put my membership on hold?
Yes! You can suspend your membership for up to 3 months per 12 month period! The suspension fee is $15 per month or partial month, and you can request the suspension with a minimum of two weeks' advance notice by emailing Include the dates during which you would like to suspend your membership along with approval of the $15 per month suspension fee, which will be charged when we receive your request. Any membership days you have already paid for when your suspension begins will be waiting for you when your membership becomes active again; you will not lose any time by suspending!
